ESTABLISHMENT
The Marine Engineering & Research Institute (MERI), formerly known as the Directorate of Marine Engineering Training (DMET), now known as Indian Maritime University - Kolkata & Mumbai campus, is India's best known Institute for the training of Marine Engineers & polyvalent Officers.
Established in 1949, the Institute prides itself in producing global leaders for the international maritime industry.
VISION
DMET-MERI Alumni (Hong Kong) is a NON-PROFIT organization comprising of Alma-mater of the ex-Cadets ( Ex Students) from India's premier Marine Engineering Training Institute. The organization is dedicated to building a network of DMET-MERI Alumnus in Hong Kong.
The aim is to provide alumni networking opportunity, boost mutual collaboration, foster and promote the DMET-MERI brand equity.
